Anyone who likes to eat Mexican must know a recipe, namely how to make guacamole yourself. We'll tell you how to do it.

Guacamole is an avocado dip

If you love Mexican food, you will surely have eaten guacamole. It is an aromatic avocado dip that is often served with bread, tortilla chips, tacos or meat dishes. It tastes wonderfully nutty and is still very fresh.

The good thing about this dip: it's easy to make. So the next time you feel like guacamole and happen to have one or two avocados at home, you can quickly and easily prepare the dip yourself.

  • 2 small avocados
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 small red chili pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp lime or lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

It is best to buy ripe avocados for the guacamole, because these are easy to crush. This makes the dip wonderfully creamy.

First cut the two avocados in half and remove their core. Then spoon out the pulp, place in a bowl and mash well with a fork. Then finely dice the tomato and add.

Now wash the chili pepper, remove the seeds and then finely chop. Then press the cloves of garlic through a garlic press and finely chop the onion. Add all this and the lime or lemon juice to the avocado and tomato mixture and season with salt and pepper.
